LINDSEY (HILDE) KINER, AICP

I am a certified urban planner with over twelve years of experience working on transportation and land use projects in Northern and Southern California. I'm passionate about developing sustainable and practical approaches to improving mobility and the viability of transit, walking, and biking for daily trips. I work with clients to create context-sensitive solutions for the communities they serve, with an emphasis on sustainability and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

I've worked on a variety of integrated land use and transportation studies throughout my career, including the SamTrans Youth Mobility Plan, Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project, and the Airport Metro Connector (to LAX). As the Principal and Founder of LK Planning, I have successfully led long-range, strategic planning projects with clients such as Caltrain and SPUR. Also, I have been a teaming partner on many strategic planning projects in the Bay Area, including the Caltrain Business Plan and the VTA BART Silicon Valley Program. My technical specialties include transit planning, grant writing, multi-modal site/circulation, stakeholder engagement, and policy research.

I'm a San Jose native and double Bruin. I hold a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Urban Planning from UCLA.
